About

About Shore Health Connect

A student-led nonprofit connecting Jersey Shore families to the care they deserve.

Our Story

How it began

Shore Health Connect was founded by a Monmouth County, NJ student who saw firsthand how difficult it was for local families to find and navigate healthcare resources. What started as personal research into local clinics and assistance programs grew into a community-facing initiative — one that believes every family deserves a clear, easy path to care regardless of income, insurance status, or background.

Our Mission

Care for every family. Pathways for every student.

To connect every Jersey Shore family to free and low-cost healthcare resources, wellness education, and preventive care — and to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals through hands-on student engagement.

Our Values

Accessibility

Healthcare information should be easy to find, free, and clearly explained for every family.

Community

We build with — not for — the Jersey Shore neighborhoods we serve.

Student Leadership

We invest in the next generation of healthcare leaders through real responsibility.

Integrity

We only list resources we have vetted and would refer a family member to.

Compassion

We meet families where they are, without judgment about income, status, or background.

What We Do

Connect Families

We research and list free, low-cost, and sliding-scale clinics, hospitals, food assistance, mental health services, and insurance programs across Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Educate Students

We guide high school and college students through healthcare career pathways, shadowing opportunities, HOSA resources, and service learning.

Host Events

We organize free community health fairs, wellness workshops, and career panels across the Jersey Shore region.
